Storm

So today was a Sunday, which means the afternoon nap. Usually I don't actually take one, but just read or watch TV instead. Today, I was extremely tired, so I did take a nap. It began around 3:30 and ended around 5:20. This was a long nap, In between this time, a giant storm came. The rain was so hard that I thought that it would break the windows and the wind was so crazy I didn't think that the house would be able to stay standing. After I woke up, I was definitely feeling moody, so I went downstairs to see what I could do to cheer myself up. My dream had been pretty apocalyptic as I had been reading/ watching some things to do with mutations/zombies mixed with the freak storm. Anyways, as I walked down the stairs, I found my dad in the living room. Almost all of the windows in the house were open. I was pretty surprised, as usually my family doesn't open the windows. But I spent some time with my dad and found out how much he liked the outdoors after a nice rain. Well,  would hardly say that the storm we had was nice...But as I sat in a chair next to him, I was definitely rejuvenated. In our living room, one wall is basically all windows and so my dad opened the side ones and rearranged the chairs so they were facing the windows. A gentle breeze  blew in a sweet pine fragrance from the one pine tree in our front yard. It smelled really, nice, especially the smells wafted from the garden. (The garden is right in front of the living room window). I was even able to see the little raindrops that were left on some of the plants. I never realized how nice it was. My dad told me he like it after the rain so much because from where he lived, it rained 200/365 days a year. He said that sometimes he would get depressed because all of the rain, but once it stopped, he was able to enjoy the outdoors again. Contrary to that story, I actually loved the rain. But now, whenever it rains, I'll be looking forward to the time when it stops and the sun comes out again. What is nice about this years summer is that it isn't too hot. It's perfect. This setting was perfect for me to study some of that macroeconomics. :P
This is kind of what it looked like.
Everything is just a little bit misty and foggy, but definitely GREEN.
Anyways, now about the book I've recently been reading. The book I'm in the middle of right now is Gone by Michael Grant. It's about this city that's become dystopian, in which all adults/those 15 and over have vanished. The build-up throughout the book is very interesting, but kind of slow. I am already half way through but I haven't really reached the climax yet. I hope there is one! If you like series like Matched, or Divergent, you will like this book. :)
Have a great day everyone!

P.S. If it has recently rained, don't forget to enjoy it little!
