Orchestra State Qualifications

Kaloo! Kalay! It's Frabjous Day! Haha, well, not really. It's almost 12 and I literally just got back from our orchestra state qualifications. We played (in order): African Dance (Aladdin Suite) Nielsen, Nocturne Borodin (arranged for string orchestra), and last but not least, Finale of Tchaikovsky's 4th Symphony. It was pretty great! Now it's just time to wait for results. I'm almost 100% sure that the orchestra made state...now the only thing to worry about IS State itself. My school has won 1st in State many years in a row. There is also this one other school that always gets 2nd. Hopefully, through all of our hard work, we can still continue to beat them. That sounds terrible...but we have all worked so hard and put in so many hours. My writing is getting worse as I type. Aghhh haha this is what happens when you play for a competition starting at 9. :P
Well, goodnight for now peasants. JK.

Oh and watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUSzQBaWq0Q
It's super sad, and the music (Borodin's Nocturne -quartet version) is interpreted very interestingly. YOU WON'T REGRET!
