Night Time Escapades

For some unknown reason, the gym was closed today so my sister and I opted for a bike ride with one of our friends. By this time it was almost 9 PM. We set out to the front of the neighborhood to pick up our friend and then we turned back around to head out. Today, we rode to the area with three schools. There's an elementary school, then a middle school, and then another elementary school right next to it. Keep in mind, it's dark out now. We rode to the playground of one of the elementary schools just to swing and hang out.
While we were talking, we came upon the subject of curfews etc. I was wondering in my mind if there would be any police checking the place out for any hooligans. Just as I was about to say, it, I saw the white police car driving up the long road towards the schools. I saw it just in time for us to hide out in the long slide. My heart was pounding like crazy. I'm a pretty good girl, so when I saw the police, I definitely didn't want to get caught. After a few minutes, I finally decided it was safe and the police was gone. We hopped out of the slide and got back on our bikes. As we took the long road out, we turned around and oh my lawd there he was right behind us. I literally almost died of a heart attack.
My sister and our friend stopped somewhere in the shadows to hide, but my stupid self just kept on riding forward, pedaling as fast as my sore legs could. Luckily right outside the schools was a house, so I just turned in to the driveway and the police left me alone. So I guess you wouldn't really call it a chase. But that adrenaline rush felt so...good. Is it a bad thing that it feels good to run away and hide from the PoPo?
On the way back home, our group ran into another group of hooligan boys who were out for a night bike ride too. I almost ran a couple of em over... WHOOPS. hehe.
Anyways, I just wanted to share that (not so) crazy story with all ya'll who actually read this. Have any of you ever ran away from the police?
Forever (not) a Rebel,
