Melancholia.

I'm not sure why, but lately I've been feeling under the weather. I can't concentrate on things because I feel an undercurrent of sadness. This melancholy feeling won't go away. So I continue to drown myself in other things, whether that be TV shows or books. A series I've been asphyxiating myself with is the Tiger's Saga by Colleen Houck. Each book is around 400 pages long...which 5 years ago may have seemed like a ginormous number of pages. Yet, as I read it, I realized that yes, it was a good story filled with adventure and passion. But another thing I realized was that it is one of those books that is like chocolate, but should be more like a cake. There were many points in the book when I just turned around and groaned...from the cliches in the story. Also, there were many parts in the adventure that could have been expanded. So instead of being just a short series of novels, they would've become a series much like that of Harry Potter. There is so much potential for a story of this. I just felt jerked around throughout...with things happening so fast. My favorite part of the series is definitely the romance. ;) So I would only recommend reading these books...if you don't really mind some sub par writing...NOT TO OFFEND THE AUTHOR of course. These are just a teen girl's opinions...so please...don't feel like what I say actually matters...
Here's the series:
What this series is about is a normal girl named Kelsey who is whipped up into a crazy adventure with two tiger-men brothers, Ren and Kishan. They have both been cursed to remain tigers...and as they fight against the evil Lokesh, romantic feelings (a triangle of course) develop.

So all ya'll reading have a good day okay? Don't let my buttfaced attitude affect anyone. Hehe. I wonder if anyone actually reads these posts...
EDITED 6/20/13: By the time I've finished the 3rd book, I've definitely come to a different conclusion. The author has definitely expanded the story line. If you start this series, please don't stop. It gets SO MUCH better! :D
